“My interest in contemporary jewelry appeared as a natural change of scale that I have the chance to experience in the larger, dimensionally speaking, context of architecture. Therefore, each piece of jewelry that I imagine has its own micro-architecture which revolves around a specific idea, develops itself and, later on, acquires a material form.
I was born in 1984 in Bucharest and I have graduated from the University of Architecture in the same city. I worked my first piece of jewelry in March 2010 – a ring that I lost, a month later, in an airport”.
“Scratched Beauty Collection.
It is the imperfection in things that surprises and attracts
our perception. Our imperfect and asymmetrical
construction will endlessly filter Beauty through
senses which unconsciously search for scratches in
The collection consists of pieces in silver and gold,
which are entirely constructed and use granulation
and keum boo techniques. Based on simple shapes,
the whole series aims to emphasize the strength of the
idea it relies on”.
