I was born in 1975, in Lisbon. In 1985, threads, fabrics, pens, nails, pencils, screws, sewing machines, hammers, brushes, saws, papers, scissors, glues, needles… rummaged through my creativity. From tools, from learning techniques and from materials, and their potential, came the ideas. To research, rethink, invent, redevelop and build are my verbs of action. Since 2008, jewellery is the place where I fulfill and structure my thinking.

Creativity is overwhelming. I’m always surprised when new ideas come up in the most unexpected way and I feel fortunate to be able to express mine through jewellery.
Conceptual and material exploration has been the main focus of my artistic work in the past few years. As I love to experiment techniques, materials and tools since I was a child, I have found a way to use this passion in the construction of my jewellery pieces. I usually choose materials according to their practical function in the piece, but they also bear a structural meaning in the whole of my work.
